Tiffane Jackson was hired in May, 2020 to serve as Assistant to the Board. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, she holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from SC State. Tiffane relocated to Illinois from South Carolina to serve as a volunteer assistant volleyball coach at Illinois State University in June of 2019. Prior to moving to Illinois, she spent five years in South Carolina as the head volleyball coach at Allen University.
In her five years at Allen, Jackson guided the program through its transition from an independent conference to a NAIA Division I Conference. Throughout her stint at the helm, she developed student-athletes on and off the court, guiding four players to the national ranks and multiple All-Academic honors.
Prior to joining the staff at Allen, Jackson served as a club coach with Orangeburg Volleyball Club where she coached and trained various age groups. Jackson planned practices, created game strategies and helped mentor multiple athletes who continued their career at surrounding colleges.
Jackson also served as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater South Carolina State University, where she had a successful four-year career as a member of the SC State Bulldogs from 2008-2012. In addition to helping guide her team to the 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference volleyball title, Jackson was a member of the Health Professions Society and an active volunteer in the surrounding community. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
