The mission of Promise Council is to create a sustainable network of caring adults to connect and engage community resources that remove barriers to learning so all children can achieve success through education. Our primary tool for identifying student needs and finding ways to meet them is by developing Leadership Teams comprised of community volunteers who agree to meet monthly with school staff. We are currently seeking Leadership Team Members for several of our schools. We are located in McLean County Unit 5, Bloomington District 87, and Olympia District 16. Team members work closely as a group, meeting monthly with school leaders. Once needs are identified, the team goes about identifying and securing appropriate resources to meet them. Serving as a Leadership Team Member allows you to become more aware of the needs in our schools, develop relationships with teachers, administrators and other schools staff, and give back to the community you love. If you are interested in talking with an individual Leadership Team Member from any of our schools, please fill out the volunteer form. We will follow up with you personally, to make sure you find a great fit! (A list of Promise Council Schools can be found on our website under ABOUT.)
