Just this month, the Back-to-School Alliance partnered with Promise Council to provide much needed school supplies to under resourced families in District 87.  The 200 drawstring bags they packed with school supplies and supplies  along with the 120 packed by Promise Council will be delivered to the four schools with the greatest need.  Unit 5 received 75 sets of supplies from BTSA to distribute to their students.The stores of supplies BTSA used to meet this need were originally collected and intended to be distributed at the start of the fall, 2020 semester.  However, this spring’s mandatory school closings associated with the Coronavirus pandemic have left families scrambling for what they need to help their children learn at home.  Thank you, BTSA, for a great partnership!
