Board Member

Ron Paul is a proud graduate of Bloomington High School, one of the Promise Council’s partner schools, and has dedicated much of his time and energy to serving the local community. His deep roots in Bloomington-Normal and commitment to supporting students make him a valuable addition to the Promise Council board. With a strong belief in the power of education and community support, Ron is eager to help remove barriers for students and ensure they have the resources they need to succeed.

Ron brings extensive leadership experience to the Promise Council, having served on the board of the Irving School Promise Council, as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal. In addition to his work with youth-focused organizations, he currently serves as the secretary-treasurer of the Livingston & McLean Counties Building Trades, where he advocates for skilled trades and workforce development. His passion for strengthening the community through collaboration and service aligns perfectly with the Promise Council’s mission.

A proud member of Local 362, Ron is actively involved with numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Salvation Army, Midwest Food Bank, Tinervin Family Foundation, Boys and Girls Club, Toys 4 Tots, and the local YWCA. His dedication to service is evident in his ongoing efforts to support those in need, whether through education, hunger relief, or community development. Ron’s wealth of experience and strong community ties make him a tremendous asset to the Promise Council as it continues to make a lasting impact on local students and families.
